Kiraly's kecks earned him a place in Prem folklore

ONLY a dozen Hungarians have ever played in the Premier League - but one ensured he will never be forgotten thanks to his iconic grey joggers.

Gabor Kiraly joined Crystal Palace from Hertha Berlin in 2004 and became a Selhurst Park cult figure in no time.

The truth is, the kecks made him look like a Sunday League keeper who had forgotten his shorts and every time he made a mistake - and there were plenty - the word 'pants' would invariably be used.

But while he was a figure of fun for some in England, Kiraly was always a hero in his homeland and won 108 international caps, the second most for Hungary.
