ARSENAL legend Thierry Henry has cranked up the pressure on Mikel Arteta by admitting it’s “normal” to be agitated about his five years without a trophy or reaching a final.

And the Gunners’ record goalscorer cannot understand why Arteta signed former England winger Raheem Sterling on loan last August when “everyone has been screaming” for a No.9 centre-forward.

Arsenal finished the Premier League as runners-up for a third consecutive season, this time a distant 10 points behind champions Liverpool when they had run Manchester City closer in the previous two years.

And Arteta’s Champions League crusade, which included home-and-away wins against Real Madrid, stalled in the semi-finals when their run was ended by Paris St-Germain.

But World Cup winner Henry, who scored 228 goals for the Gunners, says it's not enough after five years without adding to the FA Cup Arteta lifted behind closed doors in 2020 in his first year as the club’s manager.
