Gyokeres sets himself up for derby debut in Thierry's legendary shirt

VIKTOR GYOKERES knows exactly what comes with the territory.

Arsenal's new £60m striker is about to make his debut in the fixture that means most to Arsenal fans against Tottenham and will do it in the iconic No.14 shirt, once made famous by Thierry Henry.

And when it came to choosing his new shirt number, he did not shy away from the weight it carries.

Gyokeres said: "Of course I know about the history. There weren't too many to pick from.

"But of course that one was available. So when I knew that it was an easy choice to take it." The Swede is not daft enough to start inviting comparisons with the Invincible, who scored 174 goals in 254 games in his first spell at the club, winning two Premier League titles and three FA Cups.

"It's not really my intention to be compared with what he's achieved in his career," Gyokeres added.

"Especially here.

"I just want to do my own thing and show my qualities.
