Boys from Brazil in double act to keep Carrick's Red Devils revival in full swing

- JEREMY CROSS

A DOUBLE dose of Brazilian brilliance helped Manchester United beat Aston Villa and take a huge step towards Champions League qualification.

Casemiro put United ahead with a superb header after the break.

And after Ross Barkley had equalised on his first league start for 14 months, Matheus Cunha rode to the rescue with a sublime finish to restore United's lead.

Substitute Benjamin Sesko completed the victory to cement United's place in third, three points clear of Villa with eight games remaining.

That left Villa boss Unai Emery seething, as he continues to stand and watch his side do their best to blow a top-four finish.

The Midlanders had been looking to do their first league double over United since 1955. But they arrived in Manchester having won just three of their last 11, a run that was threatening to ruin hopes of a Champions League place.
