And England teammate Lauren Hemp says she has been impressed watching the Lionesses' No.1 grow into the position.

Hampton (right) played a huge role in the lead up to Lauren James’ opener with an inch-perfect pass to Alessia Russo, which any keeper in the world would have been proud of.

Before the tournament, she told ITV it was hard for her to see some English fans not want her in goal around the time of Earps’ international retirement.

But with that pass, and with the clean sheet in England’s comfortable win over the Dutch, the Chelsea star has found her feet.

"I feel like Hannah is thriving in this tournament," said Hemp.
