Time is called on Warren's second stint

WARREN GATLAND'S second stint as Wales boss ended yesterday in a stunning mid-Six Nations split and with the team in turmoil.

Cardiff head coach Matt Sherratt has been installed as a temporary replacement and will take charge for the rest of the tournament.

The WRU are aiming to have a permanent new man in place for the summer tour of Japan with Ireland No.2 Simon Easterby and Glasgow chief Franco Smith in their sights.
