Six Nations: Tomorrow, KO 4.40pm, ITV

- BY ADAM HATHAWAY

JAMIE GEORGE is loving his unexpected stint as England captain but will be handing the job back to Maro Itoje ASAP.

The hooker, skipper for the whole of 2024 and part of last summer's tour to Argentina and USA, lost the post permanently to Itoje ahead of the last Six Nations.

Itoje, named on the bench for tomorrow's opening clash with Wales will take over the captaincy as soon as he comes on the pitch but George has been running the show for the last 10 days in training.

And George reckons it is the best job in the world, and sometimes the easiest, as he is surrounded by the likes of George Ford, Ellis Genge and Itoje himself in the senior leadership group.

George said: "Maro's the captain of this team. It's his team. And he is doing an unbelievable job.
