Dream team Luke to rule world

LUKE LITTLER'S insane Premier League battle with Luke Humphries was an enthralling sneak preview of England’s “dream team” at next month’s World Cup of Darts in Germany.

The Lukes of Hazard unfurled a classic contest in Aberdeen on Thursday night, with Littler averaging 115.96 and Humphries (average 110) nailing nine 180s but still losing 6-3.

The pair will fly the flag as the world’s top two seeds when England defend their crown in Frankfurt. Although Luke the Nuke subsequently lost his semi-final with Chris Dobey, his win against Cool Hand Luke secured the No.1 spot in the league table for the second year running.
