Townies get warning on stench of manure

BRITS desperate to swap the rat race for the countryside have been warned it stinks.

Townies have also been told they could end up stuck behind tractors all day and may struggle to get a fancy coffee or takeaway.

Mark Hedges, editor of Country Life, said: "It can definitely smell a bit. Cities have quite a monochrome smell, whereas the country smells more varied, sometimes unpleasant and sometimes beautiful." Mark, 60, who lives in Petersfield, Hants, added the country stench is set to get worse as it goes greener.
