KIDS should be banned from having smartphones to protect them from social media, a celeb campaigner urged yesterday.

Peep Show star Sophie Winkleman, 43, said children should have basic brick phones to avoid "weirdos online" The mum-of-two demanded the Government supports a ban on smartphones for under 16s.
