Am I too old for change?

Dear James, I feel stuck in a rut in my job - but am I too old to embark on a new career?

I’ve been working in local media for most of my professional life, but feel I'd like to try something new. However, I'm 39. I'm not even sure what it is I'd like to do, never mind embark on a career switch at my age. Am I living in cloud cuckoo land to think about starting afresh?
