Real dazzler can boss it in the USA

KYLIAN MBAPPE has the world at his feet as a new era of international club competition dawns.

THE inaugural FIFA Club World Cup starts in the early hours of tomorrow morning in Miami and it is 1-14 that the winner hails from Europe with Flamengo the shortest priced non-European side at 33-1.

The first game sees David Beckham's Inter Miami side featuring Lionel Messi (right) host Saudi pro-league outfit Al Ahly.

With the MLS season in full swing and Al Ahly coming here shortly after ending their season in fifth spot, this game comes at a good time for the hosts who are 6-5 favourites to take the opening three points, with Al Ahly 9-4 and the draw 5-2.

It would be a surprise if most European outfits didn’t make the last-16 stage, but a case can certainly be made for the other Saudi representatives Al Hilal to progress at odds of 11-10.

Simone Inzaghi has only had 10 days with the side but has plenty of quality and experience in the ranks that should see them through.

They face Real Madrid in a tough opening game, but there is no doubt that tomorrow night’s Group B clash between Paris St-Germain and Atletico Madrid is the tie of the first round.

Atletico are a match for anybody on their day, including the recently crowned European champions who have had less than a fortnight to celebrate their achievements.

PSG are odds on at 5-6 to win the game, Atletico 3-1 and the draw is 13-5.
