Everything will be Al right

THERE can be no doubt that one of the most popular horses in training is AL AASY (1.20), and although he has been called a few rude names — put my good self at the top of that list - the eight-year-old has won 10 of his 25 races.

One of them was in today’s opener on the final day of Glorious Goodwood, the Group Three Coral Glorious Stakes over a mile and a half.

The quirky veteran won last year in a small field and he must carry a 3lb penalty this time, but he is the class act in this lineup.

Joseph O’Brien sent out Omni Man to win at Goodwood on Wednesday, so I’m hoping the Irish handler can repeat the trick with AERONAUTIC (1.55) when he rocks up in the Coral Summer Handicap over a mile and six furlongs.

Like O’Brien’s winner the other day, this horse was last sighted at Royal Ascot, where he ran a cracker to finish fifth of 16 off today’s perch of 96 over this afternoon's journey, so 7-1 is a fair each-way price.
