Heatwave will see us hotter than Malibu

BRITAIN will be hotter than Malibu as a seven-day Mediterranean melt brings blue skies and 33C heat.

The heatwave starts today and scorching temperatures in the mid-30s are on the cards by the end of the month, forecasters say.

The hottest day of the year so far is due this week as a new 1,000-mile-wide waft of hot air blows in from the Spanish Costas.
