HANDSTANDS had all moves covered to run out an impressive winner of the Grade Two DragonBet Towton Novices’ Chase.

After bad weather claimed Wetherby, plus top fixtures at Warwick and Kempton, Ffos Las was the saviour for jump racing fans.

And a hardy contingent who braved 4C – warmer than most places yesterday – witnessed a five-star performance in the Welsh countryside.

Backed into even money at the top the betting, Handstands was taken on early by mare Cherie D'Am and Range, owned by racecourse founder Dai Walters.
