Court hears Kate & Gerry's messages from alleged stalker who claims to be missing Maddie

- BY MARTIN FRICKER

JURORS heard dozens of voice and email messages allegedly sent to Kate and Gerry McCann from a woman who claimed to be their missing daughter Madeleine.

In one email to Kate McCann, Julia Wandelt allegedly wrote: "I cry when I listen to your voice or see you.

"I don't understand why you don't want to see me. You are mummy. You know it's me. You know I'm not crazy.

"I remember how you hugged me before the abduction happened. You said you loved me and will find me."

Wandelt, 24, and co-accused Karen Spragg, 61, deny stalking the McCanns.

Wandelt is accused of bombarding them with voicemails and texts for almost three years.

The Polish national is also said to have turned up at their home in Rothley, Leicestershire, in December.
