SPOTY shortlist is unveiled with golfer Rory favourite
THE six contenders for 2025's Sports Personality of the Year were unveiled yesterday, with Rory Mcllroy the bookies' favourite.
The golfer, 36, from Northern Ireland, has come close to winning SPOTY before, but this year finally completed a grand slam of all four major championships.
And at the Ryder Cup, he endured a hostile crowd to help Europe win in the US for the first time since 2012.
