Stunning debut for new boy as he sinks first club with double to fire the Blues into showpiece

JUST eight days off the beach, Joao Pedro looks to have already paid back his £60million fee by firing Chelsea into the Club World Cup final.

The Brazilian marked his first Blues start with two stunning goals as Enzo Maresca's side booked their place in Sunday's showpiece at the MetLife Stadium.

Pedro's brilliance has also earned the Londoners an extra £21.9million in prize money, pushing tournament earnings beyond £60m - with a staggering £97m jackpot on offer if they go all the way.

But perhaps even more importantly, Chelsea may have unearthed a real star in Pedro. With Liam Delap and Nicolas Jackson both suspended, the new man didn't waste his opportunity.

It has given the manager a real selection headache going into Sunday's final.
