Women's rugby is out of this World

RACHEL MALCOLM says she has seen “humungous growth” in women's rugby since she joined the Scotland team.

Now the skipper is determined to keep that going by having a successful World Cup.

Malcolm will lead the Scots into battle tomorrow against Wales in their first game in Pool B.

The outcome in Salford will go a long way to deciding who qualifies for the quarterfinals.

And Malcolm says she and her teammates will be fighting for all Scotswomen.

She said: “Something we take as a big responsibility on our shoulders is that we represent Scotland women of past, of present and of future.

“And we know how big an impact what we do can have on those women of the future.
