Abusive husband targeted partner over four years

AN abusive man who tried to murder his estranged wife in a hit-and-run attack has been jailed for eight years.

Alan Johnston, of Laurencekirk, Kincardineshire, was found guilty of attempted murder and domestic abuse on September 11 at the High Court in Dundee.
