WE WON'T TAKE THIS LION DOWN

GLASGOW WARRIORS fly-half Duncan Weir is backing his team to tame the Lions and keep their title dreams on track.

Weir put over a last-minute penalty from 50 metres out that secured his side a second losing bonus point in the 40-34 defeat to the Bulls in Pretoria.

Despite the loss they remain top of the United Rugby Championship with two games left starting with the match against Lions in Johannesburg next weekend which is then followed by a final home game against Zebre.

Weir, who came on with 12 minutes left against the Bulls when Glasgow were 37-17 down sparked a mini-revival that came up just short in the end.

Warriors would be given a home play-off match in the knockout stages if they can win their next two.

And Weir said: "We can win our next two games and finish the season on top.
