WATT'S THE STORY
Daily Record
|January 03, 2026
MAX ROGERS isn't surprised Rangers-linked Elliot Watt is attracting attention after his standout performances for Motherwell.
But the Fir Park assistant has no worries over the midfielder losing focus as the Steelmen look to build on Tuesday's stunning victory over Celtic.
Watt turned in another man-of-the-match display against the Hoops as the champions were out-thought in the middle of the park.
The former Scotland Under-21, who signed a two-year deal after leaving Burton Albion in the summer, is reportedly on Danny Rohl’s radar after an impressive opening half of the campaign.
But ahead of this afternoon's meeting with St Mirren, Rogers isn't concerned and said: “He's an important player for us and helps set the tone, helps set the culture. We don't want to see anyone leaving.
“For any team, in any league, when a team does well, bigger fish start sniffing about.
