HEARTS new boy Tomas Bent Magnusson loved making his Tynecastle debut in front of the “crazy” fans - and can't wait to experience more.

- BY DARREN JOHNSTONE

The Icelandic midfielder came on for the final few minutes of the Jambos' 2-0 win over Aberdeen in Monday's Premiership opener.

It was the culmination of a whirlwind day, with the 22-year-old only being granted a work permit on the morning of the game before his signing was confirmed just hours before the clash.

Magnusson, who has been in Edinburgh for a week since he joined from Valur in his homeland, is excited about the future after getting his first taste of action in front of the Gorgie fans.

He said: “It was great to get the deal done and get on the pitch, it was a weight off my shoulders.
