Thousands suffer second night cut off after storm

THOUSANDS of homes were left without electricity for a second night in the wake of Storm Floris.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) said it had already switched power back on in 50,000 properties affected by Monday's 90mph winds.
But 11,400 were still cut off last night as engineers worked to reconnect them.
