Gran Donna joined a protest being held against asylum seekers in her home town but insists she is not far-right or racist.

The mental health support practitioner, 64, demonstrated outside the Radisson Hotel in Perth last week.

She is one of a growing number of people in Scotland concerned about illegal immigrants being housed among communities.

She also hit back at MP Joani Reid's claim the protests had been attended by "coked-up" extremists.

Henderson said: "I started work at 14, I paid all my taxes, my National Insurance.
