Fresh fears for Ukraine's life-savers

SCOTS charity workers who deliver lifesaving medical supplies to worn-torn Ukraine say their aid convoys are being targeted by Russian drones.

Oleg Dmitriev, who is originally from Ukraine but has lived in Scotland for 15 years, set up Sunflower Scotland following Russia's invasion in 2022 to help his country during the war.

The 45-year-old said missiles from Russia are causing widespread destruction far from the frontline and the charity's vehicles are now being targeted by Iranian-made drones.

He said: "They can use them to hit places 30 miles from the frontline. What the Russians are doing now is targeting ambulances deep into civilian territory.
