Robbo admits his injury-hit Buddies badly new new blood

STEPHEN ROBINSON admits St Mirren must push the boat out in the scramble for signings to boost their season.

Tenth-placed Saints, beaten 2-0 at Motherwell on Saturday, will head for Livingston tonight with a light squad.

High-profile injuries have hit hard with Keanu Baccus, Jonah Ayunga and Mark O'Hara missing the next few months.

Robinson confessed fears for the schedule as January's seven-game slate continues.

The Paisley boss needs bodies in the door and value-hunting may have to go out the window.

Robinson said: “I'm very concerned. We need help.

“We always run with a really small squad anyway.

“Ifyou take (Daizen) Maeda, (Cameron) Carter-Vickers and (Callum) McGregor out of Celtic's team, youre not going to be the same.

“So, take the three boys that have come out of our team and we need replacements. That's proving difficult. It’s a difficult window at the best of times.
