Spider-Man stars hunker down for day

Film crews frantically secured props in the city centre following the amber weather and “threat to life” warnings.

A source said: “Spider-Man has been well and truly beaten by the Scottish weather, but he'll be back.

“We knew it could be unpredictable even in the summer but this is beyond our expectations.

“Safety is paramount on a production of this nature. We have insurance but filming unnecessarily during a storm and ‘risk to life’ isn't in the script.
