I warned at the weekend in my Record Sport column that nothing prepares you for life at Celtic.

But even I have been taken aback by the hysteria on the back of Sunday's defeat to Hearts - including my Record Sport colleague Ryan Stevenson's wild take.

Everyone knows I'm all for strong opinions and heated debate. Yet some of the stuff in the last few days has been EMBARRASSING.

I've said Nancy is a gamble and I also admit I felt he tried to change too much, too soon on Sunday.

But to slaughter the guy for using a tactics board or even his choice of footwear is just ridiculous. And it makes Scottish football look beyond stupid. It's caveman stuff.

It's also the kind of garbage that would put people off coming here. There’s nothing wrong with questioning tactics or formations.

But to batter the guy for the other stuff is wild - and just dumb.

In terms of the tactics board, every other manager uses these things. It might usually be on the training ground or in the dressing room but not always.
