Predator targeted five boys at children's home

A FORMER social worker who physically and sexually assaulted boys at a children's home has been jailed.

Peter Livingstone carried out a shocking campaign of abuse against five young victims at Tyneholm House in Pencaitland, East Lothian, in the 80s.

He was found guilty of six charges on February 14 following a trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

The court heard the 67-year-old was employed at the Barnardo's home between 1979 and 1983 to look after vulnerable children and young adults, who required structure, care and emotional support.
