Reeves: I'll aid families and make rich play fair

RACHEL Reeves has promised "targeted action" in next month's Budget to help families with the soaring cost of living.

The Chancellor is looking at cutting the five per cent VAT on energy bills and is also said to be considering reducing green levies charged to customers.

A Treasury source said: "We know people are still struggling, which is why we are determined to take action where we can."
