Mum left in agony 'begged' hospital not to discharge her

- BY SALLY HIND

A CANCER survivor claims she was "kicked out" of a hospital in agony just hours before it was discovered she had a potentially life-threatening condition.

Tracy Jardine, from Stonehouse, Lanarkshire, had only been married for a matter of weeks when she was admitted to University Hospital Wishaw with excruciating pain.

The mum of three “felt like she was in labour” and begged a doctor not to send her home.

The 52-year-old carer told how she went home “screaming in pain” before medics at another hospital discovered she had a perforated bowl and a string of other health problems, which have since resulted in her needing a stoma.

She said: “I grabbed that doctor's hand and begged him not to discharge me. I genuinely thought I was going to die with the pain I was in.”
