I'm not angry at Rodgers... and it's good Martin and Raskin have buried hatchet

- BARRY FERGUSON

I'VE got a few things to say about Nico Raskin and Russell Martin.

First and foremost, I'm pleased that whatever went on between them has been resolved.

I was at Ibrox on Saturday to see Nico return to the team and turn in an outstanding performance against Hibs as Russell got a much-needed win to reach the quarterfinals of the Premier Sports Cup. And I was genuinely delighted for both of them.

But now the proof of the pudding will be in the eating where Nico is concerned. And what I mean by that is he has to do the same all over again on tomorrow night against Genk and at Livingston on Sunday afternoon.

That's the Nico I know. I have said consistently that, when he's in a good place and operating in the right areas of the pitch, he looks like a proper Rangers midfielder.

And that's one of the biggest compliments I can pay him.

Can he be a feisty wee so-and-so? Yes, he can.

But I have no problem with that. I certainly never found him to be a negative influence inside our dressing room last season. In fact, as a person, I really like him.

Yes, he could be challenging and he'd always have an opinion on what we wanted from him. But I was perfectly OK with that. It showed me that he was interested in the reasons why we were asking him to make specific changes to his overall game.

I had no problem with sitting him down and telling him what I was thinking and why.
