The Celtic manager dropped the poker face last month by revealing the exact number of additions he wants to his squad this summer.

Three was the magic number - but there was a caveat.

How many come in will depend on who goes out.

In an ideal world, Rodgers would sprinkle some star dust on top of what he already has at his disposal.

Yet the reality is, the Northern Irishman knows the cards will be stacked against him being able to keep all of his top assets.

Fans will hope Rodgers has an ace up his sleeve should any unexpected departures unfold but at the back of his mind, the 52-year-old may already be braced for interest in some of his four-in-row heroes.

GREG TAYLOR

Now officially a free agent, Celtic have yet to confirm Taylor's departure.

The left-back, 27, has dropped cryptic hints on social media that his trophy-laden seven years at Parkhead have come to an end, with interest swirling across Europe.

Taylor is currently on a family holiday in Dubai and appears to have put the uncertainty surrounding his future on the back burner for some wellearned R&R.

However, it's believed he's weighing up a proposal from Greek giants PAOK, who are said to have identified the defender as a key target.
