Tavernier, who's been at Ibrox for a decade, accepts that if Rangers are going to be champs come May they can't afford any more blips.

As Danny Rohl’s men prepared for a mouthwatering clash with the Jambos in Govan, the captain said: “Every game's a must win but, obviously, with them in the lead - it's a must win if we want to compete for the title.

“We have to get the three points, no matter what.

“I think we've seen over the course of this season that we can respond.

“We don't want to put ourselves in these situations. From now, with 12 games to go, we can't really be having any more of these going forward.

“We've got to show different ways to win and see games out.

“It’s obviously a massive match at the weekend. It’s at home and we've got to really be on the front foot against a good team, who have done well this season.”
