OAP doped youths for sex abuse

A FORMER vet who laced sweets with tranquillisers and gave them to children at a summer camp has admitted sexually assaulting two boys under 13.

Jon Ruben, 76, also admitted eight charges of child cruelty, three of making indecent images of children and four drugs charges.

He denied a sexual offence and prosecutors will have to decide if they will proceed with the charge.

Prosecutor Mary Prior KC said: "The defendant, for at least 27 years, has run a holiday camp. There is a long history of children feeling sick at the camp.
