JOHN McGLYNN says Falkirk’s recognition through the age grades should fuel his growing band of Bairns after swapping League One doldrums for the global stage.

Keeper Scott Bain returned to the senior Scotland squad - the first Falkirk player to make the squad in 17 years - as Steve Clarke’s side rubber-stamped their ticket to the World Cup next summer.

Defender Connor Allan and frontman Barney Stewart, on loan at Dunfermline, started the Under-21s win over Bulgaria to edge closer to Euro 2027.
