LIAM SMITH reckons experience of two runaway title wins can help him hunt down a third with St Johnstone.

Smith pitched up in Perth from Bohemians just after Simo Valakari’s side won three in a row to kick off their league season.

‘And he hopes Saints can continue to blaze a title trail at home to Morton then finish the job in style.

He helped the Buddies claim the crown with three games to spare in 2018 before building a 14-point margin at Tannadice in the Covid-curtailed campaign.

Smith said: “Hopefully I can offer experience and leadership. Having won the league twice, I know what it takes.

“IT know I can excel in this league. I was in the team of the year two of the seasons. That gives me confidence I can make an important contribution.
