Hibs ace Klidje talking a good game as he breaks through the language barrier in style

- HIBS V LIVINGSTON DARREN JOHNSTONE AT EASTER ROAD

LEARNING THE WINGO

THIBAULT KLIDJE reckons he is finally ready to start showing why Hibs shelled out a record transfer fee on him after the striker tamed the Lions with a classy display.

The Togo international – whose summer transfer from Luzern could eventually rise to £1.5million – inspired an emphatic victory in only his third start.

Klidje set the hosts on their way with a well-taken opener before then winning the penalty that led to Jamie McGrath converting the second.

Hibs fans had been left confused as to why the 24-year-old was left warming the bench during the early part of the campaign.

But French-speaking Klidje admits the language barrier and his adjustment to Scottish football has taken time.

He said: “I’m new here, a new player so I have to adapt to the system of the coach. He talks a lot with me and tries to push me.

“My teammates try to include me too. I have to keep working more and more to get my chances.
