Wilson dubs it 'crazy' Ben isn't joining fellow Jags on Scotland U21 duty

MARK WILSON reckons it’s “crazy” Ben Stanway will not be packing his bags to go away with Scotland's Under-21s.

But the Partick Thistle boss says the midfielder, 20, will only use it as fuel to fire his club up the Championship.

The Jags face Raith today before sitting out a weekend due to international call-ups, including a first for Tsoanelo Lets‘osa since Under-16 level.

Ben McPherson, on loan from Celtic, will join him in the squad who open their Euro qualifying campaign against Czech Republic and Portugal.

Boss Wilson said: “I'm over the moon for T and for Ben McPherson. It's thoroughly deserved. T has taken quite an unusual pathway in his career.
