THE husband of a Scot who disappeared in Greece has spoken of his distress after his pleas for help were met with laughter.

Chris Bourda, 66, fell asleep on a sun lounger and woke to find that his wife, 59-year-old Michele Ann Joy, had vanished. Despite her belongings, including her towel, remaining on the sun lounger, Michele was nowhere to be found on Friday afternoon.

Chris continues his desperate search for his wife in Kavala, Greece. However, when he asked a waiter at a beachside restaurant if he had seen her, he was ridiculed. The frantic husband eventually persuaded a shopkeeper to assist him and call the police.
