SCOTLAND could hit a sweltering 26C (79F) today, making it the country's hottest day of 2023 beating yesterday's 25C.
The Met Office also warn that, just three weeks short of the summer solstice, UV levels will be at their highest point of the year as well.
Today is the final day of spring which has been especially dry in Scotland.
Forecaster Nicky Maxey said: "Our chief meteorologist is predicting 25C (77F) on Wednesday. However, it will be cloudier on the east coast.
"It's clear that west is best for the sunshine and high temperatures.”
