Graham's ready to lead Arabs at last

- BY SCOTT BURNS

ROSS GRAHAM is hoping to finally fulfil his lifelong ambition of pulling on the Dundee United armband during a competitive game.

The big defender was named as the club captain but suffered a hamstring injury just hours later in the middle of a preseason friendly in Holland.

Four months after surgery, he is back stronger and looking to lead United to maximum points at home to Falkirk.

The lifelong Arab stated: "I'm feeling good. I've had a good full week's training since Monday. That was always the plan, just to bed me back in.

"Thankfully, it's gone alright. It'll come down to whether the gaffer gets me involved or not."

The 24-year-old admits he went from top of the world to rock-bottom the day he was named as United's skipper.
