Dog abuser is banned for 'worst starvation' horror

A CRUEL pet owner has been banned from keeping dogs for only a year after his American bulldog died following the "worst case of starvation in a decade".

Ciaran Connelly, from Glasgow, admitted a breach of animal welfare at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

But his “weak” punishment was slammed by the Scottish SPCA.

Heartless Connelly inadequately fed the dog, named Boss, for at least a month, most likely for more than two months.

An SSPCA inspector went to Connelly’s home after a vet raised concerns for Boss's welfare to the charity on January 16 last year.
