Extra supplies sent in after Scots drink the city dry

EMERGENCY supplies of beer are being sent to Boston as the Tartan Army drink the city dry.

More than 20,000 Scotland fans have been partying in the city for our first two World Cup matches - and they said it would've been a disaster if the beer had run out.

But now the maker of Tennent's Lager is pulling out all the stops to make sure Scotland fans can enjoy a taste of home before tomorrow's match against Morocco.

Hazel Alexander from Tennent's said: "The demand for Tennent's in the US has been unprecedented and our teams are working round the clock to make sure pubs are restocked as quickly as possible.

"We've been planning for this since December and made sure we had plenty of Tennent's in the US before the big World Cup kick-off, so we're confident that supplies will continue to meet the demand." Tennent's is now stocked in 76 venues across Boston, having only been sold in Scottish pub, The Haven, previously.
