NICKY DEVLIN knows he and his Aberdeen teammates need to get their fingers out or they could be looking over their shoulders in the transfer window.

DEVLIN: DONS JOBS LOST IF WE DON'T WIN

The Dons have been inconsistent this season and one point from the last three games has seen them slip out of the top six.

The expectation for Aberdeen is European qualification at a minimun and if this group can't get to those heights then Devlin is well aware that the club will look for new arrivals to deliver.

The fullback said: "I think everyone should be looking over their shoulder.

“We are at a big club. We have a big squad and if we are not winning games then nobody can think their position is safe.

"Nobody can think they are guaranteed to play all the time.

“But as a player, you have to keep looking over your shoulder. You can never be too comfortable in the team and think you will be in the side every week.

"You have to be performing well to make sure that the club is not looking to bring in somebody in your position."

Aberdeen will look to start 2026 in style with a win at Falkirk on Saturday.
