DEAN Windass admits he's “scared” about the future following his dementia diagnosis.

The former Aberdeen star is suffering from stage two of the brain disease, causing mild cognitive decline and memory loss.

Windass was diagnosed last year and in a candid interview with BBC Newsnight, the 55-year-old said he “has a cry every now and then” about his illness.

The Hull City legend and dad of ex-Rangers player Josh Windass is calling for more support for fellow players and their families affected by the condition.
