Deaths crash driver jailed for four years

Jorja Colville, 21, was driving her Ford Focus at 85mph, near Falkirk, in July 2024, when she lost control.

Her three passengers, Reece Williams, 23, Lewis Soden, 24, and Connor Page, 21, all suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene on Moss Road in Dunmore.

Colville, from Stirling, was jailed for three years and 10 months at the High Court in Stirling yesterday after admitting causing the men's deaths by dangerous driving.

She sobbed throughout the hearing, where she was also given a driving ban for six years and 11 months.

Speaking after sentencing, Reece's devastated mum Tracy said: "If I close my eyes I can see Reece as a little boy laughing and helping his grandad build a summer house.

"He was adored by his little sister and shared a special bond with his cousins and aunts.

"I am so proud of the kind, generous and hardworking man he became.

"We have been blessed with these memories but are devastated there will be no more. My family will never fully comprehend life without Reece."

Showing compassion towards Colville, who was Reece's girlfriend at the time, she added: "We recognise this hasn't just affected our family but Jorja and hers too.

"We know she didn't set out to cause hurt and this will be something she will carry for the rest of her life."
