MY 34-year-old daughter has been in gay relationships since she was 18 and has been with her fiancee, who's 26, for three years. But during their relationship my daughter has had to call the police numerous times because of domestic violence.
The worst happened a year ago and her partner was due to be charged with nonfatal strangulation. She was in a police cell for three nights but my daughter took her back and dropped the charges.
