JACK MANN admits his mum "burst into tears" across a restaurant table at news of his call-up after he kept the Scotland head coach waiting at first.

The pair met up for dinner in Glasgow a couple of weeks back assuming all that lay in store was a quiet evening out.

However, a phone call from Gregor Townsend would leave the Warriors No.8 celebrating as he found himself included in the Six Nations fold at 25.

Mann said: 'I was out for dinner with my mum, we were at Crabshakk Botanics.
